New Year, New Benefits, New Events-- New Members?posted Monday, January 03 by
This is the time of the year for RESOLUTIONS, REVIVAL and RENEWAL. I just made a list a page long of things that I plan to do to increase the quality of my 2011 life.
In 2011, Think Local First RESOLVES to be more supportive of DC business. We vow to REVIVE the local spending scene and we are hoping our members will RENEW their membership, for increased benefits.
And boy do we have fun things in store for you…
In March we will introduce a Local Supporter Card for all of you locals that want to get rewarded for buying local.
In late May, we are planning an Eat Local Week involving local restaurants, farms and organizations.
Later in the summer you can attend our Sustainability Conference!
And all the time in between we will continue our Triple Bottom Line Breakfast Series and continued knowledge sharing via blog, Facebook and other social media. Oh, and save the world (of independent DC business) is on the list, too!
Here’s to a year filled with lots of local! Happy New Year.
And PS- Stay Vocal… Spread our word…and yours! Keep us informed on your local happenings, wants and needs at email@example.com
And PPS- If you have not RENEWED your TLF membership, don’t forget you can do it online now.
Her Corner is a community of women entrepreneurs where members collaborate, network, and leverage one another’s expertise via a peer group model to grow their businesses. Founded in 2011 in Washington, D.C., one of the fastest-growing markets for women-owned businesses in the U.S.
Think Local First DC (TLF) is kicking off its first-ever campaign to save small and local DC businesses money on energy. Called Power to Save, the effort provides businesses with simple, easy ways to immediately reduce their energy costs and enhance their sustainability.
